Sander Briké
Sander Briké studied law at the KU Leuven (cum laude) and the Université de Rennes I. Subsequently he worked as an attaché in the diplomatic department of the Belgian embassy in Bangkok. Since February 2015 Sander is a member of the Leuven Bar and has joined our law firm.
In 2016 he received the postgraduate degree in Health Law and Medical Ethics (“Postgraduaat Gezondheidsrecht en Gezondheidsethiek”) at the UAntwerpen (magna cum laude). In 2018 Sander followed with success the “Special Training in Criminal Cassation Proceedings”.
Since 2021, Sander is also affiliated as a PhD researcher with the Antwerp Health Law and Ethics Chair (Ahlec) of the University of Antwerp. Under the supervision of Prof. Thierry Vansweevelt and Prof. Filip Dewallens, he is preparing a doctoral thesis on the legal status of doctors as undertakings and as practitioners of a liberal profession.
He regularly publishes and lectures on various topics in health law.
